Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness Classes

In my childhood, I found a book on Hatha Yoga on my parent’s bookshelf and my curiosity was sparked.

Little by little, one pose at a time, I started to dabble in yoga and meditation and developed my own practice. I completed 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa yoga in 2011 and have been introduced to many guides from whom I continue to learn.

My practice continues to evolve as I learn more about myself. Yoga is humbling, exhilarating and can be intimidating, asking us to open our hearts and minds to our unlimited potential. In my flowing classes, I lead you through this learning process in a slow, calming manner with a reminder that on this incredible journey, you are never alone. The path is not always easy, but with patience, compassion and dedication, a positive evolution is inevitable.

I lead the following styles of classes:
  • Vinyasa yoga
  • Hatha yoga
  • Prenatal yoga
  • Post-natal yoga
  • Restorative yoga
  • Mindfulness meditation

My students describe me as a positive and compassionate guide who emphasizes precision with safe alignment cues and whose creative Vinyasa-style classes offer a healthy challenge, not only physically but mentally, as I weave mindfulness and awareness practices into all my classes. First and foremost, I strive to create a safe and enjoyable experience for each and every student.

I completed a M.Ed. degree in Adult Education and Community Development at OISE, University of Toronto, in 2008. While working toward this degree, I was introduced to mindfulness meditation and began delving deeper into eastern philosophy. Throughout the years, I have enjoyed the vast benefits of awareness practices in my personal life and in the professional sphere at the yoga studio and in the corporate world.

Those who practise mindfulness in the workplace often report better levels of productivity in a respectful environment that emphasizes health and wellness. Among other benefits, mindfulness in our personal lives often translates to better relationships with our family members and members of our community. I would be pleased to work with you to develop a specialised training program for the management staff in your corporation / institution.
